Michael Thaddius Banks

Ministry Fellow &

Director of the Food Pantry

Michael was born in Glen Cove, New York, into a family of devoted church musicians. After attending Westminster Choir College, he has served for over a decade as a liturgical musician in Episcopal churches, offering his gifts in service to the beauty and depth of Anglican worship.

With a heart formed by sacred music, a love for literature and the arts, and a lifelong commitment to the Church, Michael brings both skill and reverence to his ministry. His experience extends beyond the choir loft—he has worked closely with charitable organizations serving children, the poor, and the elderly, embodying the Church’s call to love and serve the most vulnerable.

Michael is honored to join the community of Grace Church Newark, and looks forward to walking with the parish in faith, beauty, and service.
