Formation & Education

Grace Church seeks to provide excellent spiritual formation from our youngest to eldest. Most importantly we are formed in our participation in the Mass. We also offer classes and other opportunities for your children, youth, and adults.

Youth Group

The Youth Group is made up of students grades 6th through 12th. Classes meet on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month in the Parish Hall, and youth participate in the Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, either as Choristers or servers. Ms. Courtney is the teacher.

Church School

Classes are offered for children 1st through 5th grades from the end of September until June. Classes meet on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month in the Parish Hall, and children participate in the Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, either as Choristers or servers. A light snack is offered before the lesson begins. Teachers are Ms. Rosemary, Ms. Shevon, Ms. Tracy, and Ms. Monique.

Sunday Adult Forum

A class for adult meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Parlor from the end of September until June. The class is variety of study of scripture, prayer, and a discussion of topics dealing with our faith. Guest presenters are sometimes invited to lead classes. Anyone is welcome to drop in at any time.

Online Gathering

An online gathering of parishioners happens on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. throughout the year for prayer and study of scripture. The group uses Zoom video-conferencing. You can download the software and join the meeting at http://bit.ly/GraceChurchOnline. If needed, the password is “Grace” and the Meeting ID# is “634-478-647.” You may also join by dialing (646) 558-8656 and entering the Meeting ID#. Please speak with Fr. Bates if you have any questions or need help joining the group.

Young Professionals

A group of Young Professionals meets approximately once-per-month at various locations for fellowship. Please speak with Fr. Bates for more information.

New Member Class

A newcomer and new member class called "The Anglican Way" meets occasionally throughout the year. It is a great way to get to know the parish, its beliefs and practices, traditions and history, and how to become a member and get involved. Anyone is invited who wants to deepen the understanding of their faith. Each class is 1-hour and beings approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sundays after Coffee Hour in the Rector's Office.
